Hand-dyed in Black (Teacore effect)

Hand-dyed in Black (Teacore effect)

Lakandula teacore

The full grain vegetable tanned leather is hand-dyed on the top grain with a thin layer of black dye to achieve a teacore effect in the years of usage.

The teacore effect gives the leather a lighter toning which reveals the tan undertone with patina, more intense in the area of the leather at high-stress points, creating a distinctive pattern. The tea core effect can be considered a desirable feature in some leather products as it characterizes the authenticity and uniqueness to the owner of every piece.
